Law enforcement at Bochum Vocational High School in Hagen begins educating fresh trainees in their management program.

The Police Upper Secondary School (FOS) in Hagen, Germany, has welcomed 58 new students to its fourth academic year on August 25, 2025. The students, aged between 14 and 30 years old, come from a diverse background, with some continuing their education after completing the 10th grade, while others are returning after years of professional experience.

This year, the students will be part of the 551 successful applicants who will study at two of the 19 vocational schools. The school in Hagen collaborates with vocational schools in Bochum and Halver for the training of the students.

The Police Hagen hosted the welcoming event, and the collaboration with police authorities in Bochum, Märkischer Kreis, Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, Olpe, Siegen, Recklinghausen, Bottrop, and the Hessian Police at the Polizeipräsidium Frankfurt is intended to set the stage for the students' career in the police force of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

Upon graduation from the FOS program, students will have full university entrance qualification and a guarantee to commence studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW. This collaboration provides the students with practical content within the daily operations of the various cooperating authorities.

The Police Hagen wishes success to the "FOS'lers" in their new team. With a total of 3645 individuals applying for the FOS cohort of 2025, the school is proud to welcome these 58 students and looks forward to their future achievements.
