Arnsberg City Apologises for Incorrect Ballots in District Elections
In an unfortunate turn of events, the county council elections in districts 2 (Totenberg/Neheim-Mitte) and 6 (Arnsberg-Stadtbruch/Uentrop/Rumbeck) of Arnsberg were affected by an error that led to the distribution of incorrect pink ballots for the district administrator election.

Voters who received incorrect ballots in electoral districts 2 and 6 should contact the election office starting from September 15 to obtain the correct documents. The city will deliver the correct documents to affected voters directly or they can pick them up at the polling stations.
The error occurred during the manual packaging of postal voting documents, and it was also found that the manual packaging process in districts 3 (Totenberg/Neheim-Mitte) and 7 (Arnsberg-Stadtbruch/Uentrop/Rumbeck) was similarly affected, resulting in incorrect ballots.
However, it is important to note that the error did not affect districts 1, 4, 5, and 8 of Arnsberg.
To ensure that all affected voters can exercise their right to vote correctly and on time, the city of Arnsberg will provide additional resources and staff to handle the distribution of correct documents and any queries from affected voters.
Voters who requested postal voting or voted in person between August 21, 2025, and the date of the notification will receive the correct documents automatically. This also applies to voters who request postal voting or vote in person from August 21, 2025, onwards.
The city of Arnsberg regrets any inconvenience caused to the voters due to this error and assures that steps will be taken to prevent such errors in future manual packaging processes.
The city will also inform all affected voters in writing at short notice and will ensure that the correct district for district 2 is 3, and for district 6 is 7.
Eligible voters from the affected districts are encouraged to contact the city of Arnsberg's election office at 02932 201-1669 for further information and assistance.
